This course is specifically designed to provide contracting professionals with the basic knowledge required to perform the tasks required of a FAC-COR Level 1 Certification. The Contracting Officer’s Representative (COR) is essential to the efficient and effective management of acquisitions and acts as the eyes and ears of the Contracting Officer. Students will learn the basic knowledge and skills needed to perform your duties as a Level I COR, such as proper communication, documentation, contract monitoring, payments, and ethics. This course is designed for experienced Contracting Officer’s Representatives (CORs). COR Level III: Advanced Workshop looks deeper into the requirements of the COR, including knowledge related to COR roles and responsibilities; ethical and legal factors that impact COR responsibilities; and information necessary to effectively evaluate situations as a COR. More authentic exercises are given in the COR Level III: Advanced Workshop that are pertinent to an expert COR to help make correct decisions and carry out their responsibilities. Understand how emotions impact the workplace, and specifically one's working style through this three day course. Beginning with a personal emotional intelligence assessment, participants will begin to understand how emotions affect leadership style and workplace interactions, how to anticipate the needs of customers and colleagues, and how to better manage emotional responses in the workplace. This combination of virtual instructor-led training (VILT) and asynchronous (self-paced) course focuses on understanding the common, foundational pre-award contracting competency model job tasks and principles. The course describes the overarching business relationship between government and industry.
