GRT 201: Grants and Agreements Management

This course is designed for acquisition professionals involved in the execution and administration of Federal grants and agreements. Course topics will guide participants through the grants process from pre through post award, discuss types of agreements, and distinguish between the roles and responsibilities of acquisition professionals in regards to grants and agreements in comparison to the procurement process.

Learning Objectives

  • Explain the qualitative differences among instruments available for obligating Federal dollars, and be able to choose the most appropriate instrument in various situations.

  • Identify the elements of the legal framework that apply to assistance.
  • Perform the responsibilities of the Grants Officer within each of the phases of the assistance process in accordance with regulations and statutes.
  • Describe current laws applicable to grants and agreements.
